Why ‘Forgot He Was Black’ Comment Spells Trouble for President

One of the most talked about lines from the State of the Union came not from Obama but from a comment the MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews made after the President’s address: “He is post-racial by all appearances,” Matthews observed.

Claver, Great ad! Very simple and direct, obvious and sensible message. Keep up the great work. You speak for many millions of Americans who believe in Conservative principles.

Please reconsider Raging Elephants’ planned campaign to repeal the income tax–the Federal Government needs at least enough national funding to sustain the Enumerated Powers in the Constitution (like Provide for the National Defense).

I hope Raging Elephants will support a Flat Tax proposal like Steve Forbes described in his book. I do not support a Fair Tax because it is essentially a National Sales Tax like a Value-Added Tax, which would penalize the private sector and, coupled with many State Sales Taxes, would be very regressive.

Even Communist countries who have adopted a flat tax have found it optimal: it marginalizes the influence of Special Interests and generates revenue for a national government through an affordable and simple structure. Best of all, a Flat Tax avoids excessive drain of capital from the private sector where it is sorely needed for economic growth and prosperity.
