More and more people are beginning to discern the playing out of this revealing leftist dictum:

“The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.”

"In other words the cause - whether inner city blacks, women, gay rights, [immigration, or Fox News] - is never the real cause, but only an occasion to advance the real cause which is the accumulation of power to make the revolution."

Refer to David Horowitz's pamphlet: "Barack Obama's Rules For Revolution - The Alinsky Model"

Revolutionary's aren't compassionate populists. They are exploiters for their cause. Wake up rank-and-file Democrats, you may be all about the "causes", but powerful forces in the party are all about the "revolution." Once the "revolution" is secured, your causes will become just another threat to power. If they succeed, they will come for you.

Why does it matter what political party one belongs too. This is so silly. Voting should only be about the issues, and we should vote using our intellect not our political association. I care not for Democrats or Republicans, we are all subject to same failings as those we criticize, no one person has the answer, but our lives are as different as the snowflakes that fall during winter. Dr. King being a Republican means what nothing, anyone who to becomes a Republican base on that, is not much an independent thinker.
I don’t attend church out of shame and I don’t join political parties because some famous African-American belong to any one of them, The human mind does three things, think, feel and want, and we should use our minds more than we use our race to get points across concerning certain issue. So if it makes you feel good to use Civil Right leaders to get more blacks to become Republican, good for you, it’s insulting to their intelligence.
No, not even in High School did I give into the click thing. The money spent on the billboards could have went to a better cause.

Dr King was a Republican as was his father and grandfather. Only three Republicans voted against the CRA in 1964 filibustered by the infamous Robert Byrd (D) WV.

JFK was able to get credit for getting MLK out of prison which resulted in him winning over 60% of the African American vote (even though it was RFK who would wiretap Dr King on suspition of acts of terrorism.

The GOP began as the first anti abolition party in 1853 in Battle Creek MI. Their first elected President, Abraham Lincoln, along with majorities in Congress emancipated blacks. The South remained dominiated by white Democrats until the 1990s.

The Dems hold their power only by dividing groups of Americans. Black against white; rich against poor. Divide and conquer! That has and will always be their gameplan. You know when a party has to divide your country to win they are not for what's best for the country!

When there are now more people on food stamps right now than ever before, it's NOT just because of the economy. No, not at all. Democrats second part of their game plan is to have as many people DEPENDANT on the government. If they keep you dependant, they keep power over you. They then get your vote because you now are a slave to the government.

Ever notice what happens when any African American DARES to find out the truth and think for himself or herself and finds out the real truth about the Democtats? They are called Uncle Tom, etc., etc. by Democrat leaders. If we step off the Democrat dependant plantation, well, you get slapped down for not going along with their program of lies, dependence and just existing.

Raging Elephants is doing good, speaking truth. Maybe people will finally wake up and see Republicans are really the party that wants the best for us!

Mike,
Your analysis of Christianity's adherence to strict biblical law is either seriously flawed or deliberately contrived. Christianity had its reformation. Islam has not. When was the last time you heard of someone in the US being tried and found guilty of adultery, legal aged intercourse, or consensual sodomy? I can not readily remember one. As for why Blacks vote Democrat, by your own account, both southern democrats and republicans did not vote for the CRA. So if that is the case, why would blacks automatically opt for the democratic party if they too had let them down? I generally do not understand why so many African-Americans appear lock step with a party that has promised them so much and delivered so little. Especially when you look and see how many of the democratic passed social welfare programs have disproportionately eroded the Black family structure.
Take a look at how many African-Americans are currently under Tea Party or GOP support, there are more than a handful. Not that more wouldn't be even better.

Pat,
You are completely right....
Dr. Alveda King is an Angel and God bless her.
Civil Rights under the Constitution is a really simple concept. For many years the Liberals in Washington have been trying to manipulate the People for years regarding Civil Rights....

It is interesting to see the comments above but one thing MLK was for equality under the law (i.e. Constitution). I think many of you need to hear his niece Dr. Alveda King talk about his vision of the country which was not socialism or government doing for others but each of us helping others.
