“MLK Was GOP” BILLBOARD IS UP IN S.C.!!

Submitted by admin on January 11, 2010 – 9:20 am7 Comments

MLK-Was-GOP-Billboard-Orangeburg-SC-Jan-2010

Just in time for his birthday and national holiday, our 2nd “Martin Luther King, Jr. Was A Republican” billboard has been erected in South Carolina.

Located on US 601 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, it’s smack dab in the middle of Rep. James Clyburn’s district – the Majority Whip of the House and member of the Congressional Black Caucus.  It’s in the neighborhood of Historically Black Universities South Carolina State and Claflin University.

Congratulations to you, the financial partners of RagingElephants.org, and our RagingVols, for pushing us across the goal line.  Question: Are there any other organizations that are staying more consistently on the attack against the liberal agenda?

A special thanks to Jimbo Pratt for his extraordinary effort on this project.  He has the capacity to assist RagingElephants.org with securing more billboards across the nation.

Question: Would you like to see billboards erected in your community?  Then please become a financial partner of RagingElephants.org!  Our offensive campaigns only happen with your consistent donations.

Please take a few minutes right now to make a contribution to the expansion of our billboard campaign.  Can you make a donation of $30 dollars or more?  As we always say, any donation amount, no matter the size, is welcomed with heartfelt gratitude.

Click on the “DONATE” button at the top of the page  to the work of RagingElephants.org:

SPECIAL MESSAGE TO SOUTH CAROLINA PATRIOTS

All of you in S.C., let’s build on this momentum.  If you’d like to be a part of our South Carolina team, please click on the “Volunteer” button at the top of the page, fill out and submit our volunteer information form.

It’s actually pathetic that Republicans always have to lie about their *ehem* “accomplishments” and sad that the party which opposed EVERY SINGLE THING that MLK stood for would now try and co-opt his legacy speaks volumes about your utter bankruptcy as a lot.

The very fact that Republicans had this billboard erected is not just disrespectful the King’s legacy (not that you care) but assumes (rightly so, in the case of Republicans) that the viewer has no concept of history.

Normal people (non-Republicans) are aware that southern blacks before the 1960s aligned themselves with the Republican Party as the “party of Lincoln.” This included MLK’s father who left the party to support John F. Kennedy but Martin Luther King himself NEVER endorsed ANY political party and took great pains not to do so for the sake of his cause. Now YOU pigs are deciding he should sink to your level?! Of course, by doing so, you show yourselves as the pigs you are and not worthy of the endorsement of ANY TRUE righteous leader (don’t worry – you won’t get any)
Here’s a little history for you ghouls – During the 1950s, there were virtually no white Republicans and no Republican office holders in the South. At that time, ‘Republican’ meant ‘Yankee’ and the ‘party of Lincoln.’ And what the “solid south” meant was that it was solidly Democratic, as the Southern Democrats were the party of segregation and the Republicans were the party of Lincoln.

When Barry Goldwater, the Republican nominee, opposed the civil rights bill in the summer of ’64,” African Americans, as well as white normal people, left the Republican Party in droves.

So, the fact that Republicans are now claiming MLK as their own is an outright lie, a disgusting insult, and disrespectful sham perpetrated against the willfully ignorant among them.

Will the Republican Party EVER have ANYTHING in REALITY to boast about?

Sadly, as you are not the party of “MLK” as you disingenuously purport, but the party of the greed-centered sociopaths, hell-bent on turning “The Land of the Free” into the “United States of Serfs and Lords” and their willfully ignorant “everyman” supporters who have been systematically propagandized to believe that indentured servitude to trans-national corporations equals (=) freedom, the answer to that question is a resounding “no!”

Despite MLK’s Effort to Remain Cause-Oriented and Non-Partisan, Republicans Spit on His Grave by Politicizing His Legacy While Simultaneously Opposing Every Single Issue MLK Ever Supported.

More pathetic is the fact that the previous poster doesn’t know that the dems have a lonnnnnnng history of voting against civil rights and that Senator Byrd was the Grand Wizard of the KKK.

Liberals have never been constrained by the truth and I submit the bozo in the White House as anecdotal proof…..Has he ever been open or transparent, or kept ANY of his campaign promises other than his promise to “change America”? Nope. And his changes are for the worse, not the betterment.

He’s selling America down the river into socialism.

My husband and I met Apostle Claverover the weekend and heard him speak. He is right on the money with his program. We found him to be nothing short of insipational. Thanks, Apostle for shining the light on a problem that has been overlooked for WAY too long. The GOP must reach out to ALL Americans. And promote the feeling of inclusion to eveyone.

I am a quarter black; quarter mexican & half white republican! I cannot believe Taradacktyl said that republicans shot down blacks! We FOUGHT FOR African American civil rights-dems did not>the KKK was 80% liberals>democrats! Even FDR funded for the KKK! I AM SICK OF DEMS RUNNING ALL THESE LIES ACROSS TO AMERICANS>in education, in the media, through brainwash. Jackie Robinson was a republican–rosa parks was a republican–I AM A REPUBLICAN! White black mexican asian middle-eastern. Please look at the principles for voting not skin color! Thats what black-democrats need to start doing!

This is my first view of your website , and I have to read this drivel from Taradackdyl!?
A lot has changed since the 1960′s and the people and make-up of each political party has changed. The Demo/Socialists have gone off the cliff for ‘bigger government.’ The auto industry didn’t teach you a damn thing!! Bigger is NOT better! The more intrusive you are, the more people will revolt against you. I’d rather be in the party of MLK, than the party that tries to keep him enslaved, just to further your own agenda.
The GOP isn’t that mush better. ‘The Unifier”, the great W, made almost a big a mess as Carter, only he didn’t have to deal with a hostage situation in Iran, just nukes, and jihadists!
As they are currently constructed, both parties are enslaved to the almighty dollar, not the voter. But, the GOP is a damn sight better than going socialist, and grabbing power and industry just to hold sway over us. Besides, Sen. Byrd , once he’s got his sheets on, thinks everybody’s gone, and falls asleep!
Wake up, people!!(No, it’s not a Pepsi commercial!) This land belongs to us, not the politicians. Get a grip, and get it back!

Taradactyl speaks the truth. Dr. King, my fraternity brother, was not a Republican. In an interview with WVON (the voice of the negro) he specifically stated he was non-partisan so he could affect change on both parties. So is Dr. King a liar? To check this for yourself contact the King Research Center at Stanford University to verify this fact. Anyone who reads and understands history knows that Democrats in the south were racists but that changed when LBJ signed the CRA. Let’s not pretend that the Democratic party of today os the same party pre-1964. Those were not liberals who were fighting intergration. Context is the key to this issue. For those who think that the Democratic party of 1964 is the same as today must answer this question, what was the southern strategy and what were it’s results? We must also answer the question what did LBJ mean when he stated that the Dems would lose the south for a generation when he signed the CRA? Rewriting history is not a way to attract more people of color to the GOP, having good policies and ideas would be better.

Do you have a soft copy of that billboard? I would love to use it as a profile picture.
