Really? You want to go back pre 1964 to prove Democrats are Klan members? Tell you what, ask any present-day Klan member what party he or she belongs to and I will bet you $100 they are Republicans. And why wouldn’t they be because all present day Black representatives and the lone Black senator are Democrats. Gee, I wonder why southern white males flocked to the GOP after 1964? Did it have something to do with the civil-rights act that was signed by a Democratic president? Think about it. Gotta love that southern strategy.

The ethics committee is controlled by the Democrat Party and Pelosi – not Republicans!
Pelosi, Boxee, and the Democrats have a recent history and condescension. Boxer tried putting the head of the Black Chamber of Commerce in his place. Democrat investigations are only on Black representatives men and women.
The House ethics committee is currently investigating seven African-American lawmakers — more than 15 percent of the total in the House. And an eighth black member, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.), would be under investigation if the Justice Department hadn’t asked the committee to stand down. It dismissed a case against Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.).
A document leaked to The Washington Post last week showed that nearly three dozen lawmakers have come under scrutiny this year by either the House ethics committee or the Office of Congressional Ethics, an independent watchdog created in 2008 at the insistence of Pelosi. While the list contained a substantial number of white lawmakers, the ethics committee has not yet launched formal investigative subcommittees with respect to any of them — as it has with the seven African-American members.
Um Jerry, he is a FORMER member of the Klan sir. Now since conservatives are good at confusing simple instructions, ask a CURRENT Klan member and ask them which political party they are affiliated with and I bet you $200 it is the GOP. See, the problem exists that there aren’t any Black elected oficials in the GOP in the House or the Senate. None, zero, zilch, nada. How can that be in 2009? The Green party has more Blacks than the GOP. Stop with the games and goofy misdirection games and ask yourselves why this is and how you can correct this state of affairs if you choose such. I can give you my opinion if you want or do you know better than me.

Looks like after 1964 the GOP became what the Dems used to be, the party of racism. If the GOP can grow up and admit their mistakes like Mehlman did they might stand a chance of gaining a more diverse audience. But if they keep bringing up ancient charges of racism against the Dems and thinking that they can woo us by lying about Dr. King being a Repub them they’re lost. IMHO
