MLK was a Republican

  • Pete Jr says:

    Thank GOD for you and the truth, Apostle Claver. I am a white 46 y/o conservative republican and know the truth. Please pray for my father who is a non-god fearing demon-crat. He taught all his 6 children to love and respeat all people and we just haven’t been able to get him to see the light. To those of you who think that the republican party is out there just to tear down your community, well that is just not factual. Drugs, decadence and talking heads tear down communities. Democrats/liberals don’t want the black community to be prosperous, then there wouldn’t be any need for the democratic party!

  • Jenny from San Antonio,Tx says:

    I just read an article on Fox News about your Billboard claiming MLK was a Republican being taken down. First of all as a fellow conservative christian, kudos to you guys for putting together a thought provoking ad. I did not vote Republican in the last election because the party as a whole was not fiscally conservative enough for me. I also didn’t want to identify myself with a group that has essentially sold out to politics instead of defending Americans from liberal social programs that tear away at the greatness of our country. I am flabbergasted at how paralyzed and directionless Republicans have become as a whole, with no real voice. But then again I guess that is what you get when you do not stick to your principles. Anyway, all that to say, I really admire your boldness. I would love to see a new Republican face in which we are not ashamed of our conservative principles and can be seen as a group the really does care about all individuals in America rich, poor, black, white, asian, hispanic, able-bodied, disabled, gay, straight etc. That would be a party that reflects me. I am an evangelical Christian. Jesus cares about every single one of us and wants everyone to accept Him into their hearts. I want to be a part of a party that acknowledges many American’s believe this essential Christian truth even if every party member does not hold that belief. At the same time I want to be a part of a party that recognizes the government’s attempt to take the responsibility of the church’s duty to serve the poor, hurt, sick and hungry is just plain wrong and a violation of Christians’ faith. These things are not done in Jesus name, they are done in the name of politicians who are seeking reelection. We are being robbed of our blessing in serving others. And those in need are being robbed at the experience of having Jesus’ love extended to them. Imagine a country where every American believer took just one hour a week to help others. Now imagine one day a week. … Two days a week… We have become so disconnect as a country, I believe this would cure so much grief between opposing groups. We might all find that we really have a lot in common. At the very least we all have the human experience in common. Oh, and of course the bonus, spreading the word of God to those who have not heard. Letting them see God’s word and love in action.These things cannot come from government, that is not governments role, they need to come from believers. I would like the government to back off so that believers will be able to see the need of others and help those who so desperately need a caring person in their life. I just want you to know you will be in my prayers and I will continue to follow your group’s web page. Oh and did SignAd have a legal right to take down your ad? The MLK was a Republican statement cannot be prove true or false, so you were not advertising a lie, but instead an educated opinion. Was your group’s freedom of speech violated? I would look into it. Just because some may be offended by your statement does not give them a right to have it taken down. That is called censorship and should not be tolerated.

  • Clifford says:

    Nice story on MLK

  • Gipper says:

    Geenie as an historian, I would suggest that you could stand a brush-up on American history, as well. You are correct that the abolitionists (I’m sure that’s the way you meant to spell the word) led the charge on abolishing slavery. However, had it not been for Republican members of Congress and Republican President Abraham Lincoln; slavery would not have been abolished in 1865. Perhaps the Democrats would have come to their collective senses in due time. Unfortunately, to an oppressed slave each day was a battle to survive. Thank God the Republicans acted when they did to end this evil practice!

    With regard to political parties in our current era, what do you really think the odds of new party would be in our current political environment? Not very good! In fact, while you’re studying history, perhaps you should reconsider your opinions of political parties. Since President Franklin D. Roosevelt started the governmental dole, African-Americans have been gravitating to the Democrat Party. This is often seen as a means of survival in a society that even though theoretically desegregated, has been very segregated in reality. Sadly, the African-American community has not been helped by their overwelming support of the Democrat Party. Take any city in America, are the African-American neighborhoods the prime places to live? Are the majority of African-Americans who are, or have, received government assistance moving into prosperity and self-sufficiency? Are the top schools in America minority? After almost 80 years, the Democrats have delivered a giant “goose egg” to the African-American community! So tell me, how’s that working for you? It is time for the African-American community to realize that the Democrats have used them as political and societal pawns by creating legislation that keeps minorities in a government run system of slavery. In the end, the best hope that the African-American community has is to abandon the empty promises of the Democrat Party, with its’ nihilistic “hope” and “change”, and embrace the party of freedom, the party of individual rights, the party of limited and responsible government, and the pro America party…the Republican Party.

  • brian says:

    geenie nabottle, that’s the problem, jackson and sharpton speak where they feel they are needed, not when they are actually needed.

  • Robert says:

    Hey MBW, perhaps you should look up the definition of xenophobe and racist while you’re comparing everything to the dictionary. A fear of all things foreign? How you came up with that one, I’ll never know. It seems racist is one of the most incorrectly bantered about terms, used to fear-monger today. Racism pertains to power. You can be a bigot and you can be prejudice, but unless you are a politician or president or policeman, chances are you and I can not be racist. Simply put, we have no power over anything. You can be prejudice against dogs or doctors or hmmm, Republicans. You can be a bigot by sticking to your party and not tolerating others or their opinions or willing to listen to new ideas. On the other hand, a racist is one who supports the social or political policy of racism, like Apartheid. As we now have one of our “brothers” as President, I’d have to say we don’t have a political policy of racism here in the U.S. – Granted we still have archaic, scattered policies of “forced” equal opportunity, but it’s time we stop hanging our hats on the past and realize we have made it to the top. The playing field is level. I say we take a long look at ALL our elected officials and vote with our brains, not our skin color.

  • Phil says:

    Just read the story. Good for you. I’m from the Bronx and now live in California, how about we get some more billboards up and spread the word.

  • candice hensley says:

    Wow finally someone speaks the truth! I love the bilboard!

  • Outrider says:

    My first time on the site, wow, I’m actually listening to people that know their facts about the past. Common sense may reign after all.

  • beth says:

    Hey Jay – Yes, God’s Son was totally pro-choice. He absolutely believed, like that great humanitarian Margaret Sanger, that certain people should not be allowed to reproduce. Just like Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Abortion is genocide to black Americans. And God’s Son was totally genocidal.

    What an idiot. Do you think killing 1800 children of one race A DAY makes your world better?

  • Estel Powell says:

    Thank you. I think the biggest thing anyone can do is educate themselves. The better educated you are the better decisions you can make at the polls for your family. We cannot bury our heads in the sand any longer and expect our government to do right by us. It’s us the people that run the country and we must lead!

    great job!

  • Jackco says:

    This is an outrage!!! America gets a black President and this is the outcome…….

  • RobinA says:

    I just want to say that I was very impressed with Mr. Kimau-Imani, especially in taking on Quanell X. I had never heard of Mr. Kimau-Imani or Raging Elephants until I saw the news about the billboard. I have no idea if Mr. King was a Republican or not but I respect him deeply as he was a great humanitarian.

    I grew up during the raging 60′s – I remember all the assinations begining with JFK. I also grew up with a lot of guilt as I am white. As soon as I was able to learn how to research, I researched my family’s background. On both sides of the family, we were dirt poor Scots-Irish with barely 2 nickels to rub together and no, our families never owned slaves. Both my parents grew up poor – we still talk about how they picked cotton and other crops in order to buy their clothes, shoes and books to go to school back in the 1930′s. My parents worked hard to get ahead as they will always remember those tough days. They are in their 70′s now, on fixed incomes – it hasn’t been easy for them. As they grew up, I taught my children to respect all people. As a result, they have white, black, Hispanic, Asian friends, etc. Forgive my ramblings, but there are many of us out there – white, black, hispanic, asian, etc who know what tough times are. In my heart, I believe that if we just listen to each other that we can all get along.

    As for parties, I truly do not know where I stand anymore. I’ve voted both Republican and Democrat. To be honest, I don’t really like either party anymore. I have been watching and listening to the Tea Parties tho. All I can say is, Mr. Kimau-Imani is a breath of fresh air. Kudos to you Mr. Kimau-Imani and God bless you. Sincerely and best wishes, RobinA

  • Angela says:

    God bless you Apostle Carver, we need more men like you.

  • John says:

    I think that what Dr King fought for is more than a party. It is more than a black thing. I believe he spoke truth that transcends racial , socioeconomic, and any other standards. I believe that he spoke truth that set people of all different backgrounds free. If you are a person of any color(white black or any color), any political party, any disability, any age, gender, or any other thing that you are made by God himself that you should be judged by the content of your character. I believe that Dr. King truly felt that nothing should be given or taken away from a person based on what God made them but that all people should be given based on what they have earned. This is why I can proudly stand today and echo what Dr. King said at a time when the things being withheld were from african americans that we have crossed a threshold to where things are now being withheld from unborn children. Dr Kings legacy lives on but now I ( a survivor of the abortion era) can stand and say that I have a dream that the unborn children will be judged by the content of their character and not the condition of their coming. I dream that one day the 1/3 of children from the abortion generation will see their deaths not be in vain as the blood that they spilled (just as Dr. King spilled his) will see the dawn of a new age where we will protect those who cannot protect themselves and let them have a chance to live the dream of freedom, liberty, and justice.

    God Bless you guys and God Bless America and keep fighting the good fight!

  • Charlain Marie says:

    I just had to thank you for all your efforts, I have read the article on FoxNews about the Martin Luther King billboard. It is great – I wish others had taken these steps BEFORE the election! I knew he was a Republican and I have always admired him for that. But what our country needs more than Republicans – is Patriots! Patriots that with stand up and do what is right for the country and not for one political party. THANK YOU for doing your part!

    I will pass along your website information to all who are interested.

    Thank you for being a great American!….. and God Bless!

  • Wm. A. "Bill" Fisher says:

    Howdy,
    I just posted some of MY family’s history in becoming Abolitionists, freeing their slaves, using their Kentucky plantation as a waystation on the Underground Railroad, helping start the Republican Party in 1856 because of their Abolitionist beliefs, then enlisting in the Union Army to fight for the survival of our Nation AND to free all the slaves. My great-granddad was the only one of four sons to survive the War, the other three being killed in battle.

    MBW and Geenie NaBottle are the ones who are wrong, either being ignorant of the facts, or dishonest… either way, they’re continuing to spread lies and more sadly, to probably believe them.

    Republicans were considered Liberal in 1860 and even more so in 1865, when a Democrat and Seccessionist murdered Lincoln. The Republicans founders and leaders were “radical” in wanting all people treated the same and given the same opportunities. True Republican Conservatives are “radical” in their Conservatism of those same principles now.

    Whether one is considered a “conservative” or a “liberal” is meaningless in placement of history WITHOUT considering what the Principles of that time were being “conserved” or “liberalized”. Our Founding Fathers and the Constitution they delivered to us as their progeny were EXTREMELY “liberal” for their time. In that same consideration, oddly enough, today’s Conservatives are the true Liberals in the classical sense. But not in today’s lexicon, thank the Lord.

    The Slaveholding Aristocracy was “conservative” in wanting to maintain their “property”, ala “Justice” Robert Tanney with his Dred Scott decision, but that in NO WAY translates to today’s Conservatives as modeled by Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas, Ronald Reagan, J.C. Watts or Rush Limbaugh. Today’s Conservatives aren’t the racists in our society.

    And Geenie, while Sharpton and Jackson don’t wield “magic”, they do require a willing ingorance and suspension of judgement on the part of their followers and those who accord those two pimps with a political foundation. Squeal all you want but the facts are facts and those two clowns do NOT deal in facts. But they’re sure making the money for themselves.

    Like the Word says about others, those Sharpton and Jackson have foundations built on the sand and not on the Solid Rock. Just because someone has put a Rev. in front of their name doesn’t make them a Christian any more than me going into a barn makes me a cow.

    A Supernatural change is required for either of those two options. As far as becoming a Christian is concerned, that requires a change of soul, mind and Spirit that isn’t exemplified by the fruits of either of those two charectors’ lives. Their fruits are outlined in Gal. 5:19-21.

    And MBW, I’ve served on State GOP Platform and Resolution Committees going back to my first one in 1972 as a Senior in High School. I’ve served as a Republican Election Board Commissioner making sure ALL votes legally cast are counted. I’ve been involved in campaigns on local, state and national levels ever since Grade School. I have NEVER encountered ONE Republican who said ANYTHING derogatory about the race of ANYBODY at ANY time. (They’d have been chased out as that poser David Duke was.) As long as you’re a member of the HUMAN race and are an American Citizen, you’re welcome in the Republican Party… even if one were as looney and ill-informed as you!

    It has been the Republican Party that has opposed the Democrats’ Plantation Mindset since the beginning of our Party. It has been today’s political conservatives who are standing for individual freedom and the rights recognized by our Government IN our Constitution that were GIVEN to us by God, NOT by government.

    It is the Conservative Republican party that trusts the individual enough to want them to try their best as individuals to succeed with the freedom TO succeed or to fail, if that’s what happens. (I’ve failed a number of times in my life, but I’ve suceeded more after getting back up, dusting myself off and carrying on.)

    Some of my heroes have been the former slaves who came to Oklahoma and established themselves in fact as equal to anybody out here, including my ancestors who welcomed them based on their charector, not their color. These people were successful because of their hard work, personal charector, a continuing effort to become educated and a vision for themselves, their children and their Nation.

    They were college professors, farmers, U.S. Marshalls, doctors, pastors, businessmen, laborers, sheriffs and soldiers. They were mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, cousins and those “adopted” family members who were all striving to grow beyond what they were born with, in charector, rights AND responsibilities, opportunities and future, as well as present, greatness no matter what their station in life happened to be. Like all people in this great Nation, they had the freedom to be invididuals who could make themselves whatever they wanted to be.

    Many continued to fight the fight for freedom in fights you’ve never personally experienced, thank God, in scale if not in formidity. The political party that was trying to hold them down has been and continues to be (granted with different methods now) the Democrat Party with their Bull Conners, Fulbrights and Byrds.

    Don’t continue to let yourself be bought off. Think for yourself and research what is the truth, both the historical truth and the Spiritual Truth.

    It doesn’t matter one whit how a person’s skin is colored! What is important, is the foundation of your operating principles, your mind and Who you are or aren’t to be found in.

    You Raging Elephants, keep up the good work. Well done and Lord bless Y’all.

  • Joan Cullen says:

    Amen Amen Amen!
    Stumbling across this organization was so timely for me! I have been in a heated debate with someone, wherein I advanced this theory that the liberals, who have cloaked themselves in compassion and tolerance, are actually intent on keeping black people in misery.
    It took them quite some time, but they finally did figure out that their methods of suppression (KKK, segregation, anti-civil rights platform) were a little too obvious.
    They knew they’d have to be a little less overt with their agenda. Voila! Liberalism is born! They claimed to be for every man, they created programs that sound warm and fuzzy, and look like they’re meant to help the downtrodden. In reality, these programs are like heroin. They’re meant to make people completely dependent and helpless, slaves to the dealer.
    I asked the person I was debating, if Democrats really are for the advancement of black people, why are Democrats the ones who oppose school vouchers??? She had NO answer. Obama sends his girls to Sidwell Friends, and the poor, black children of DC to the gutter.
    Disgusting.

    I saw your website via the Drudgereport link- bravo!!!!

    Great job with this campaign! Keep up the great work, it’s all making a difference.

  • Denise says:

    As a white American I stand with your group completely! MLK would never have endorsed a Political Party that advocated abortion or same sex marriage! Where is the justice in Abortion?? I have a picture of MLK hanging on my living room wall that is a beautiful statement that peace can not be possible without the presense of justice! MLK would never support the Dems! In full Disclosure, I have been a Dem all my life until the last couple of years.
    The hatred from the elite liberals and the disapearing values and many thing have turned me to the GOP. If we don’t agree with them on Abortion, Same Sex Marriage, taking away religion in the public square, or constantly trashing our brave military, we are not worth of being a human being in their eyes! I am sick of it!
    Where are Rev Jackson and Sharpton on this HORRIBLE Story about the gay man in NC who is a big wig LIB at Duke University who the FBI arrested last week for molesting his 5 year old adopted son who is African American. The man told FBI he and his gay partner adopted two black children because they are easy to adopt! The guy actually molested the child on webcam and invited a a stranger to fly to NC to molest the child himself! The stranger was an FBI agent! But NOT A WORD FROM SHARPTON and JACKSON or the Main Stream Media! ABC and CNN both reported it, but ABC failed to mention the guy was a gay man and CNN left out both that he was gay and the children were adopted African Americans specifically for the purpose of molesting!
    I added a comment on theroot.com yesterday to a story about the Upcoming Black in America Pt 2 with the entire story and all the links about it that actually tell the whole story!
    Jackson and Sharpton won’t touch it along with the main media because it could derail their Liberal Positions on Gay Marriage! So much for protecting the children in America!

    I will post my comment about the story in NC in another post with links to the actual story that the Liberal media has tryed to prevent from getting out! The story just enrages me!!!

    Another site dissemanting this perspective on MLK is http://www.nationalblackrepublicans.com Keep up the good work ya’ll. They also have some interesting perspectives on how the democrat party is the party of racism and hate, thus, hurting all the minoritys in the USA, particularly the black citizens.

  • Alex says:

    THANK YOU for doing what you do!!!! There IS a voice for BLACK REPUBLICANS in this country!!! Please NEVER stop and thank you for bringing to light the fact that MLK was Republican.

    This is SO great! Love it! You 100% will always have my support, never waiver.

  • OBAMA SUCKS says:

    OBAMA IS A JOKE AND SHOULD BE IMPEACHED. HE IS DESTROYING AMERICA AND IS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT HELPING THE MUSLIM WORLD THAN AMERICA. HMMMMMMMM

  • Tracy says:

    I’ve heard this told over many years, that MLK Jr. was Republican and I took it for what it’s worth, not outside the realm of possibility, he was all about not languishing in the doldrums that society placed upon you, get out and get a better life for yourself.
    The man was senselessly gunned down in the prime of his life, I believe we could actually benefit more now than then from his words and wisdom.
    The New Black Panthers say that today’s Republicans are wrought with racism and MLK would never support that crap…wouldn’t he? Character over skin color, educating yourself pays off, success brings great reward if you work hard. Sounds just like the things Dr. King would endorse, but unfortunately the modern GOP has a massive identity crisis that they’re too spineless to deny and fight! The left says that we need to have a dialog on race issues, the GOP doesn’t want to go anywhere near it because they’ve already been brandished as the ol’ white guy party and a bunch of pathetic racists that just don’t care. And if they even try to deny or defend, the RACIST gets screamed even louder….no wonder we can make no progress in this country.
    I am a Conservative gay woman, I know of no person who has a racist heart. Yes, that’s right-NOBODY! Anyone who does is ignorant, plain and simple yet I really don’t know if there’s any getting past this issue in America today. The militant African-Americans will cite centuries of horrible treatment, slavery, discrimination, etc. even though that’s sooooo 150 years ago.
    Nobody alive has ever been a slave, owned a slave, condoned slavery, yet we still get that sh!t thrown in our faces.
    You wonder why we’re reluctant to change our views? One reason is the centuries old slavery argument, and the civil rights movement of forty years ago keep getting used against white people and we can’t call you on it otherwise we’re racists. We can’t defend ourselves from the charge of ‘ignorant racists’ without being called ‘ignorant racists’. No win for anyone :(
    B.S. B.S. BEE FRICKIN’ ESS!!

  • Alex Daszewski says:

    May God bless you with continued wisdom and strength in your mission to free the American Black community from the aweful grip of mindless liberalism. I have hoped and prayed for more leaders to step up to the plate and organize conservative Blacks in taking back the hearts and minds of those in their communities. I am a conservative white Christian living in Long Island New York. I have many Black friends and neighbors who are genuinely convinced that Republicans and conservatives do not care for them and will do nothing for them, even when they have benefitted from the economic and social policies that Republicans have passed throughout the years. Please keep up the good work and God Bless You!

  • Don Davis says:

    Since it looks like the MLK sign has been taken down, how about puting up one now that no one can dispute – Abraham Lincoln was a Republican!

  • Rick says:

    Geenie NaBottle, you are the one who needs to read you history. It was the Republicans who were in power when the slaves were freed. It was, in fact, the first Republican President who signed the Emancipation Proclamation.

    YOU NEED TO READ HISTORY,…. Dr. King did not preach unity at the price of appeasement. If you think Dr. King’s message was not confrontational, …you must have severe brain damage. What in the name of your simple minded liberalism do you think caused the so many in the country to “buck up” against Dr. Kings message??? Do you think the “Klan” and those that thought like them, just turned quietly and walked off into the night??? NO!!! It took continual confrontation, …for years!!! Dr. King stood and CONFRONTED people with the truth. NOW, …. RAMPAGINGELEPHANTS is doing the same thing!!! You need to go back and read Dr. Kings messages before you spout your ignorance again!!!

  • Rick says:

    My bad guys, …I gave you the name of “RAMPAGINGELEPHANTS” instead of your “RAGINGELEPHANTS!” Who knows, ….raging could lead to a rampage :) !

  • Susan Boatright says:

    GREAT JOB!! It’s so nice and refreshing to see the truth out in the public!! Can you PLEASE put a billboard up (with MLK, Jr.) in Dickinson?? I’ll donate some $$ !! Thanks!!

  • To LeeAnn: Nope! Not at all! You’re fabulous. Keep up the support and individual initiative. It’s invaluable.

  • thurman hill says:

    >>I’m not suggesting that all African Americans should be Democrats….but why would you >>want to be a part of a party that is so openly disdainful of people who are different than they >>are?

    In a word, change. If you don’t like the way the GOP has gone, get in it and change it! The Democratic party contains a huge variety of people, why can’t the GOP? I’m a republican. I believe in conservative, family oriented ideals. I don’t believe my attitudes are unique to any race or religion. I do not like people who are racist. I want you in the GOP!

    As long as the Democratic Party is the overwhelming recipient of black votes, black people will get lip service from them, but little else. If black voters show that they are wiling to vote their conscience regardless of party name, then those voters are empowered. The name of the game is “I MIGHT vote for you. What will you do for me?” Only by keeping your options open do you keep your power.

    btw.. I am a middle aged southern white man.

  • Steve Arnold says:

    Gentlemen,

    You are to be commended for your boldness in proclaiming truth to the masses. Our battles are not against men, but against Satan. We (conservatives) must continue to insist that our values are not driven by the color of one’s skin, but by the Word of the Holy God.

    Maybe you should insist on getting the rest of your thirty days on the billboard, and change the wording to read…”MLK was NOT a democrat!” The gentleman who protested this sign said that himself. You could even post it as a quote from him! You continue to speak truth and get your point across in a clever way.

    Keep up the good work. This conservative, white, male, Christian will be praying for you.

    In Him Alone,

    Steve Arnold

  • BLGW says:

    It is fascinating to me that there are so many people who are misinformed about history. I am not a member of either party and will not defend either political agenda but I do encourage people to vote according to what they think about the agendas of the individual candidates. The claims that one party “freed” minorities and the other “enslaved” minorities is entertaining because both parties are guilty. The original republican party, Lincoln’s party, was very liberal but changed their tune after the civil war and began to oppose integration and equality amongst all. They saw their lives as being affected by the change. The original democratic party became advocates of minorities and preached equality shortly after the civil war and they were extremely important in the civil rights movement. I think the propaganda of who is affiliated with this party and why minorities should side with that party needs to stop. We as minority leaders need to focus on educating our minority base on the importance of educating themselves about the politics of each individual and encourage minorities to vote according to their beliefs and not the “gang mentality” voting of a party.

  • Diana says:

    Keep up the great work!!

  • Ed says:

    While hiding the racist past of the Democratic Party, Obama refuses to give credit to the Republican Party that:

    (1) started in 1854 as the anti-slavery party and fought to free blacks from slavery;

    (2) amended the Constitution to grant blacks freedom, citizenship and the right to vote;

    (3) started the NAACP to stop the Democrats from lynching blacks;

    (4) passed the civil rights laws of the 1860’s that were overturned by the Democrats when they took over Congress in 1892;

    (5) founded the HBCUs;

    (6) started affirmative action enforcement in 1969 to help blacks get jobs and contracts based on merit; and

    (7) fought the Democrats for over six decades until Republicans finally achieved passage of the civil rights laws of the 1950’s and 1960’s under the leadership of Republican Senator Everett Dirksen of Illinois.

    Obama, following in the footsteps of his white ancestors, is also part of the Democratic Party that:

    (1) fought to keep blacks in slavery;

    (2) started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize Republicans—black and white;

    (3) passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws;

    (4) fought every piece of civil rights legislation from the 1860’s to the 1960’s; and

    (5) attacked Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and other civil rights protesters with skin-burning fire hoses and vicious dogs.

  • David says:

    To Geenie NaBottle: Your remark about TaShawn’s name was mean spirited. Christ handed you the 1st stone & you gladly threw it. Disagree in a civil way please.

  • Josh says:

    Love the billboard! It is great to watch the liberals squirm. Donation to follow. The Democrats continue to beat down the African American population to keep them in their voting pool, why would they want African Americans to succeed? By educating people and promoting success they would lose their votes.

  • LeeAnn says:

    TaShawn,

    Your statement applies to many whites too. They think it is politically correct. I use to be a fan of Al Sharpton. Many years ago he made sense. I worked in NYC and saw first hand what he was talking about where racism was concerned. I also felt reverse racism while I was there. It was really sad. When Dinkins was elected mayor, white people were so enraged because they never thought a black man would be elected and the truth was that it was their own fault for being too lazy to vote. NYC has changed a lot since that time, in part, I think to Gulianni. Dinkins did not really make any changes while in office. I am not blaming Dinkins. I supported him, but he inherited a mess. The streets were dirty and the whole city was just a step above a cess pool. But Gulianni managed to get tough and clean it up. To me, it is almost as though Democrats don’t want to make anything better. They would rather keep things the same. Keep the people down and out. Republicans though, want to get people motivated. Up and moving in a better direction that affects everybody. That is where the brain comes in. You either use it or you lose it. I choose to use mine.

    Apostle Claver: I just sent an email to info@signad.com & a comment at http://www.signad.com/contact.html telling them how disappointed I was in their decision to remove OUR sign only because Quanell X complained to the media. I forwarded your “VICTORY!! The First of Many!!” with the following text. I wish everyone would send them an email to get their attention! Keep the message moving!

    Dear Sirs,

    Removing the billboard will not silence the message of the RagingElephants.org nor will it pacify the racist Quanell X (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quanell_X). I hope you refunded all the money you accepted for the billboard. No one should have to pay for their “Freedom of Speech” in Houston. Remember the quote from Rev. Martin Niemoeller, “First they came for the Communists but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists but I was not one of them, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews but I was not Jewish so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.” When Quanell X comes for you and yours, who will stand up for you?

    Way to go Apostle Claver! You are making people think. Continue the great work of spreading truth and knowledge. We are behind you!

    I heard you on the John Gibson show! That was a great way to express the truth of this movement and you did it great!

    Calling someone an apostle is ridiculous. If he is a self appointed apostle it is even more ridiculous. Calling yourself that to elevate yourself in Gods eyes suggests a pitiful understanding of God. True, an apostle is an ardent early supporter of a cause or reform, but I would imagine that 99% of most people would define apostle as one of the 12 original disciples chosen by Christ to preach his gospel. Knowing that, it seems that only a pathological egotist would even consider adorning him or herself with this completely off limits title. With that understanding, I am not surprised that a megalomaniac would try to attribute adjectives such as republican or democrat to a man of such incredible distinction. This is a man who defied partisan titles. It borders on blasphemy to suggest that Martin Luther King would fit comfortably into either of these political boxes. Human adjectives can not fully describe this man. I am convinced that very few people make it into the kingdom of heaven, but a handful of men will march through the gates with dignity and heads held high to meet their creator and Martin Luther King is one of them. I feel certain that no self appointed apostle will get that ultimate invitation. This organization is built upon quicksand and any future sensational political stunts of this nature will fall as flat as this one did.

    i just sent my e-mail to info@signad.com…disgraceful and cowardly decision on their part(though i didn’t say that to them). Regardless of the ‘validity’ of the message on the sign (and i believe it’s valid and truthful…honest and an intelligent conclusion based on the facts)…they are cowardly to remove it because of ‘noise’ from cowards who don’t want to face the truth that’ll undo the lies around which their reality is built.

    Question to moderator…can the order of the postings be reversed … newest at the top and oldest at the bottom? This way…we don’t have to scroll all the way to the bottom when we refresh the page. of course the ‘leave a reply’ will have to be at the top as well.

    Great job, it is about time. As a minority, I am tired of seeing the Dems lauded as equal opporunity people. What they are, are equal opportunity enslavers.
